Citrus 05:06
We're too worried about the peel. We forget the fruit. We're too worried about the seed. We forget the sprout. I want to follow you, never turn around again. But I need for once, to look on past my skin. We're too busy watching highways. We forget our homes. We're too busy chasing horses, We forget our bones. Lord I want to follow you, never turn around again. But I need for once, to look on past my skin. Your poison coins won't grow here. Please leave us here alone. No don't you plant those poison coins, in the gardens of our homes. I want to follow you, never turn around again. But I need for once, to look on past my skin. We're too busy feeling twisting blood, we forget to sleep. We're too busy hearing locks and keys, we forget our eyes to see. Lord I want to follow you, never turn around again. But I need for once, to look on past my skin.

Night Birds 06:41
Night Birds We are night birds on a prairie wind and the dark air is cold and leaves me thin. There’s a lake shaped like a winter country and it’s five months since the sunset. Brother don’t you know that the water is white? Brother can’t you see that the water is white? There are flowers on the water and they’re drowning slow slow slow. And its five months from then until this snow. There are flowers swimming in summer and her blue eyes drank me in. Well I’ve been running in fields and I’ve been hiding in caves Lord from your voice. Brother don’t you know that the water is white? Brother can’t you see that the water is white? So we are night birds on a prairie wind and the dark air is cold and it’s left me thin. Well I thought she knew, oh I thought she could prove that you were there.

Wolfs Blood 06:21
Don't you think about the crops they're gonna grow. Don't you look for higher ground we can sow, right here. Don't you whisper in my ear I don't want to know. No I don't want to know. No I don't want to know. You've got some wolfs blood. It's running through your veins. I've got some wolfs blood. It's been running through my veins Now it's pouring out my mouth. Hunters put your weapons down, you'll sleep alone. Come and lie down by this pool. Don't you want to know? You've you got some wolfs blood. It's running through your veins. I've got some wolfs blood. Its been pouring out my mouth, and it's been staining all my shirts. Angel! Angel, stir the water won't you? Angel! You've got some wolfs blood, it's running through your veins. I've got some wolfs blood, it's been staining all my clothes, now its running down the road. Don't you bake your bread for only you. Don't you make your bed for just right now. You've got some wolfs blood. It's running through your veins. I've got some wolfs blood. Its been running down the road, and its been stopping up my heart.

Ghosts 06:17
I am but seashells crushed under hooves of beach riding horses from out of the woods. I am but old grain withered and dried, I'll never serve because I'll never rise. Don't you say these words. No matter how dark it can get. Don't you say these words I know how dark it can get. I am but moth wings dusty and shy living without eyes no way towards the light. I have been snowmelt crystalline blue inching down mountains never getting near you. I have been bear-paws crunching the leaves trapped in a new light I'll follow your lead. We don't have to be afraid no matter how dark it can get. We don't have to live in fear perfect love holds us yet. I've been nearsighted, bound by the past. I never thought sunlight in my life could last. Now I've been awakened You broke into me. You tore all my chains off, now I can be free.

Morning Sun 06:43
We made the mountains higher than our hearts, higher than our eyes. We set the sun to leave us to our thoughts, to hide out from our lives. Texas sun you breathe so heavy. Texas sun you burn so cold. I made the moon to keep me from the dark, sleeping without sleep. I held my hands clenched against the light, because I thought that I could fight. If I make it through the night, then morning sun, won’t you shine your light? I’ve sailed on ships in waters of the deep. oh caves they grow so cold. I’ve felt the sting of twisting, turning blood. oh my veins they’ve grown so old. If I make it through the night, then morning sun, won’t you shine your light? If I make it home tonight, then morning sun, won’t you greet me with your light? I thought I could wash, wash away my sin, make you love me more. I could be the moon.

There's rain on the river, so won't you come inside? There's ghosts on the water, but don't you run and hide. We'll walk you down to the shoreline, we'll paint your face up in a cave and then we'll set you out on water, oh you're gonna grow so brave. You may not know me. You may not see me. But you will find me. And you will hear me. Well there's ice on the river, but don't you slip and slide. Current's steady like the drums, just stand there, just stand so firm. You may not know me. You may not see me. But you will find me. And you will hear me. But we don't know, are you alright? Are you alright? And we don't know, are you alright? Will you be alright? Well last night your fever broke, so aren't you gonna cry? Everything's gone out the door, just hold on, just hold on. You may not know me. You may not see me. But you will find me. And you will hear me.

Wild Animals 10:40
Well I've been wandering through the wilderness searching for a place to rest my head. But the lions prowl and the ghosts are real so I have lived in misery instead. Now walking on this winding path I stopped in hopes that someone would come along. There was a quiet wind and a gentle voice said "son come and listen to my song." He said "Don't worry Jonah, You're gonna be just fine, The Lord has saved your soul." "Don't worry Daniel, You'll sleep just fine tonight, The Lord has saved your soul." Now I have lived through the longest winter, my skin was cracked to bleed. And I've been leaning on the rattling tree, I was keeping control, keeping control. But control is what's lead me to an early grave. Where I blindly professed my soul is saved. When I'm weak He can make me strong, His love is all I ever need. Yeah when we're weak He can make us strong, Cause His grace is all we could ever need. He said "Don't worry Jonah, You're gonna be just fine, The Lord has saved your soul." "Don't worry Daniel, You'll sleep just fine tonight, The Lord has saved your soul." I don't want to leave here, unless you'll go with me. And I cannot go back there, You've set my spirit free.

Canyons 06:29
Under a sky of winter paint, I climbed the canyon walls to find you. In this sunlight I'm looking for your face, the only one I'll know when I know it's you. If I showed you the colors of the canyon walls could you see? Could you see? If I showed you the textures of the ocean floor, could you feel? Could you feel? You and me in an almond grove, surrounded by the trees at night. You say "it's so hard to trust." Don't be bitter pink, be wedding white. If I showed you the colors of the canyon walls could you see? Could you see? If I showed you the textures of the ocean floor, could you feel? Could you feel? If I sing you the song of the wild bird, could you be free? Could we be free? If I sleep, would you stay near to me? If I speak, am I just a clanging cymbal?
